Goodco Z-Tech recently landed a contract to fabricate multiple expansion joints for the Northeast Anthony Henday Drive leg of the Edmonton Ring Road project that’s currently underway in Alberta.
The company will supply approximately 1,000 meters of finger expansion joints and Series 1000 strip seal joints to the Flatiron-Dragados-Aecon-Lafarge Joint Venture for 46 bridge structures that are being built in the scope of this project. Last fall, Goodco Z-Tech was also mandated to fabricate several hundred structural bearings for this same project, making it the largest contract in its history.
Fabrication of the expansion joints is slated to begin in summer 2013 and will continue until the end of 2014. Structal-Bridges will also supply 14,000 tons of steel components for this project as part of a joint venture with Rapid-Span Structures Ltd. to build 14 bridges.
