The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) will hold the 7th Annual Quebec Steel Symposium on October 29, 2015 at the Palace Convention Center in Laval. As part of this event, Project Development Representative and Project Manager Michel Pettigrew and Junior Engineer Maxime Ampleman, both of Canam-Bridges, will deliver a joint presentation on the subject of metallizing. The presentation, which is entitled La métallisation : un revêtement anticorrosion innovateur, will be given in French

Michel-Petitgrew-Maxime-Appleman

In addition to discussing the efficiency of metallizing in protecting steel against corrosion, the presentation will explore the application of the coating and its technical, economical and operational advantages. Research findings on the slip coefficients of metalized slip-critical connections will also be presented along with several metallizing projects that were executed by Canam-Bridges.

The day-long symposium will wrap up with the Quebec Steel Design Awards of Excellence Gala that celebrates outstanding steel projects. For more information or to consult the list of competing projects, we invite you to visit the event website at www.rendezvousacier.com.
